Think total. Act local.

Yes, at Del Terruño, we love what we do – and we do it very well. But there’s more to life than business. Supporting the work of a wide range of organizations is part of our philosophy, and local groups are #1 on our list. We’re donating a chef’s cut of delicious grass fed striploin to the Community Servings 25th Annual LifeSavor event.

A fresh kid on the shelves.

Del Terruño USA, LLC, announces they have signed a sales, marketing and product consulting services contract with Food Retail Specialists USA, Inc. Founded in 2012, Del Terruño USA imports 100% grass fed, free range beef from Uruguay. According to company representative Maria Stearns, the animals are hand-selected young Hereford and Aberdeen Angus heifers, raised by independent family ranchers who commit to the strict guidelines designed to maintain the brand standards, including free range year round and access to shade and water. Stearns continues, “Our beef is all natural, with no hormones, antibiotics or animal byproducts ever used, and it’s certified sustainable.”

“We’re international leaders in food marketing and retail sales representation,” says Greg Spalt, Executive Vice President at Food Retail Specialists USA, Inc., and he continues, “My responsibilities include developing vertical markets and selling strategies for the roll out and expansion of select product lines for FRS, so it’s an exciting opportunity to help bring this niche brand to the shelves of top retailers across the nation.” Spalt adds that some attractive Del Terruño differentiators are that the company breeds their own animals and has the whole chain, from the birth of each calf through the packinghouse.

Stearns explains that the brand has grown a strong cult following among chefs on the Vineyard, Provincetown, the Cape, Providence, Worcester and Boston and she states, “Our sales to the foodservice sector are very successful, but the volumes we can supply are retail-ready and we’re looking forward to growing that business.”

Going there, doing that – and by the way, the number is 174.

Del Terruño USA, LLC, announces their participation in the upcoming Annual Meat Conference. According to company representative, Maria Stearns, Del Terruño executives from Uruguay, Pablo Carrasco and Ana Iewdiukow, will also attend the event. According to Carrasco, “Our new partners at Food Retail Specialists USA, Inc., suggested our attendance; they are experts in niche food marketing and sales and we’re excited to support their efforts to place our products in the top retail shelves in the country!”

Founded in 2012, Del Terruño USA imports 100% grass fed, free range beef from Uruguay. Complementing their successful launch into the niche food service markets in Boston, Providence, Worcester, Cape Cod, and the Vineyard, the company has recently entered into a sales, marketing and product consulting services agreement with Food Retail Specialists USA, Inc. to expand their sales in the retail environment.

Held February 19th through the 21st in Dallas, Texas, the Annual Meat Conference is co-sponsored by the North America Meat Institute, and offers educational, networking and tasting opportunities that provide a perfect venue for exposing the hand-selected, 100% grass-fed beef to a knowledgeable audience. Stearns finishes by saying, “Texas, here we come! We’re ready to describe our program, explain our differentiators… and grill our delicious beef.”
